The Reality of AR, VR, MR and Women

Kathy Wang

AR/VR Designer and HCI Researcher, UC Berkeley

Kathy Wang is an AR/VR designer and HCI researcher at UC Berkeley. In 2017, she founded BroadAR, an XR studio based in New York City. She is a four-time winner of the MIT AR/VR Hackathons, winner of San Francisco Design Week 2021 and Cannes XR 2020 nominee. She focuses on finding HCI design solutions for emerging technologies such as Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality. She's fascinated by the future of technology and its potential to do good in the world. Her work explores the boundaries of the virtual world and reality.
