The State of Women in Crypto and Blockchain
Time & Location
About the Event
It's been estimated that only 10 to 15 percent of the people currently investing in Bitcoin are female. In the world of cryptocurrencies, there have been more women not only trading digital money but also entering roles traditionally dominated by men, including analysts, developers and company leads. At the same time, statistics show that blockchain companies founded by women can successfully compete with those run by men.
Large crypto companies such as Bancor and Binance are vivid examples of this, the former co-founded by Galia Benartzi and both with 40% to 50% of employees being women. Another crypto exchange, Huobi — counting over 1,300 employees — appointed Ciara Sun as the company’s first female executive.
This month, we are focusing on why it is crucial for women to learn about cryptocurrencies and their skillset in that space and how they should consider these assets as part of their investment mix.
Join us this Thursday, August 26th from 5-6:30pm to learn from the women who make up 15% of bitcoin traders, and how this technology is enabling more women to invest since investing has typically been a preserve for an elite club.
