Women are critical to economic growth, community stability and building a cleaner, more sustainable future.
— Cynthia Hellen, Founder of Winning Women Series
Winning Women Series, launched in 2017 by Cynthia Hellen, is a platform for women & girls to support one another & create change in society at all levels: as individuals, community members, professionals, students & entrepreneurs.
At Winning Women, women share their lessons learned to an audience that ranges from all ages, female and males who are eager to learn how to become better leaders, start a business, or juggle their passion project, and day job.
Winning Women Series is the vision of Cynthia Hellen, an accomplished social entrepreneur, technologist and an event producer in New York City. While volunteering as the NY Chapter Leader at Young Women Social Entrepreneurs, Hellen’s realized there wasn’t a space for emerging artists, creators, entrepreneurs, scientists and thinkers, to introduce themselves well before they hit the mainstream.
In spring 2017, Hellen co-founded the Winning Women Series with her partner Ryan Alvarez. The Winning Women Series is now heading into its 4th year. Past events have featured speakers from Tribeca Venture Partners, Spotify, HuffPost, and ADAY. In 2020, My Health Matters Summit was launched to support the growing community of female physicians and provide them with networking opportunities and resources to support their leadership journey.

"I am a student of Global Health, a woman, and Black. I’ve dubbed myself #globalhealthmo and have been working on making my dreams reality. It’s really important to me that I’m knowledgeable on current health issues in my community, and in a space to share what I know. To broaden my network, I searched the hashtag epidemiologist on Instagram and somehow stumbled upon the My Health Matters Summit hosted by Winning Women Series. I was so excited to see the topics they planned to cover, and watched for the whole six hours. The conversations were genuine and informative. I have never been so inspired, and motivated to keep pushing in my studies. Those women were amazing, and I hope to be in their ranks soon."
